Children’s Academy Community Meeting

Last Sunday we had another community meeting to talk about the Children’s Academy. It was attended by more than 50 people. These meetings are a great opportunity for us to keep people informed of progress, invite input and engagement, and exercise what we preach about open and transparent communication, broad-based collaboration, and engaging people to inform decisions that will impact their lives.
Here is link to see plans. In August we will invite bids from three or four local firms to begin phase one, which is a two story building with two classrooms and administrative offices and meeting room. We plan to do a ground-breaking ceremony during the last week in September.
Again, we are deeply grateful for the support of Calvary Church, EAPE, Tom and Noel Stein, Jesse and Leigh Engle, BAR Architects, Architecture For Humanity and so many others who are making this project and all of our educational work possible.
