Cité Soleil Community School

Cité Soleil Community School (CSCS) was founded in 2001. (Click here to watch a video about it.) Its mission is to educate, nourish, support, and orient children and youth in a very challenging community. Cité Soleil is extremely poor, full of violence, it lacks social and civil infrastructure, and offers few models of good behavior for the next generation. The school’s vision is to replace the guns, gangs, poor habits and bad tendencies of Cité Soleil’s youth with an appreciation for books, technology, positive social orientation, spirituality, and academic pursuits through education. CSCS believes that the way to build a better future, both for its community in Cité Soleil and for Haiti, is through education.

Over the last decade, CSCS worked primarily with Harvest Time International and Haiti Allies to support its activities. In October 2009, Haiti Partners partnered with CSCS to continue its great work as a partner school.

Since the earthquake, CSCS has moved to a new location in Cité Soleil. Haiti Partners is committed to supporting them to get reestablished to serve the children in their community. If you would like to support us in this partnership, please contact us at: info@haitipartners.org
